An increasingly suspect defence apparently

The comedians at HITC have done it again, this time suggesting the Tottenham defence has looked increasingly suspect this season. Are they not aware we have the joint best defence in the Premier League and fair extremely well in the Top 5 leagues in Europe.

Their answer? Sign a 32-year-old who will be 33 before next season starts! Are they unaware we play a high line with space in behind the defence and need defenders who are not slowing down with age?

Gonzalo Rodriguez of Fiorentina is hardly going to be a long-term prospect for us and there is nothing linking him with us except the imagination of lacking the basic knowledge of our transfer policy.
