A far better Ist half

SPURS 2 SWANSEA 0

It was certainly a better first half from Spurs. We played at a better tempo, played some neat one touch football and created opening where we didn't get a shot off and just needed that little bit extra time.

It was all one way with Swansea parking the bus and they should have been down to 10 men when Taylor cut Walker's head with his boot. It may not have been intentional, but he followed through with his foot and he simply can't have your studs head high. To not even book Taylor was simply absurd.

We started with Son cutting in onto hi right foot when in with a chance in the box, occasionally he needs to go to his left foot and shoot. We saw this in the first 15 minutes when we were playing the ball into the box far more than we have in other games. If the ball is in the area the opposition are under pressure and you never know what is going to happen. One moment of panic can lead to a goal.

We kept making Fabianski make saves, A Kane header, A Walker shot, an Eriksen free-kick. In other games we haven't been doing this. After 25 minutes we had had 5 shots on goal.

We then played Wanyama in and he passed to the keeper, Son had a chance and he leant back on the ball to send it over the bar. he was well played in by Danny Rose whose last third passing was hit and miss.

The pressure in the box paid off with a penalty harry Kane converted and then Son brilliantly demonstrated how to play a hook volley on 45 minutes.
