Keeper Pickford still interesting Spurs

The Sunderland Echo are once again reporting our interest in Jordan Pickford and suggest Manchester United are also keen on the 22-year-old (23 next March).

he is currently training with the Engalnd squad for the friendly against Spain at Wembley tonight after David Moyes handed him the number one role this season. We have been watching for a while as he is highly regarded, although we have just signed Pau Lopez on loan for a season with a view to buying him next summer if he impresses.

Currently the press are speculating over the future of Hugo Lloris amid contract talks although it is doubtful there is even an issue over him leaving. Contract talks by their very nature are two sides starting at different point and finding common ground in the middle. Just because you have a starting position and it isn't met doesn't mean you are about to lave, unless you are a reporter for the national press of course.

You always have to keep looking at the market and following players as you never know when you may need someone or that someone may become available. In either case you need to be ready to act.
