Inter, Barcelona, Spurs, Liverpool - four clubs after one player

TRANSFER TALK

Turin-based Italian newspaper Tuttosport, established in 1945, report that Inter Milan are now tracking 21-year-old (22 next September) German Olympic international attacking midfielder Max Meyer.

Tottenham spoke with his father on several occasions last summer but a transfer didn't materialise and we are continuing to track his progress with Schalke 04. He has a deal with them until June 2018 so in the summer will be entering the final year of his contract. Unless Schalke want to run the risk of losing him for nothing or have an agreement with him to sign a new deal they will be under pressure to sell him while they can still get a reasonable fee.

Tuttosport reveal we are tracking him hard and that Liverpool and Leicester City are also interested. The player himself confirmed our interest in him recently, not the first time he had done so. He stressed he was happy at Schalke, which is simply PR talk, he was actively looking to leave last summer.

Mauricio Pochettino has made consistent enquiries for the German, while French news outlet Le 10 Sport suggest Barcelona are also tracking him.
