Encouraging signs Janssen is adapting

Both Mauricio Pochettino and Jan Vertonghen have talked about the confidence striker Vincent Janssen has. At the weekend Pochettino told the press it showed a real strength of character for Janssen to take the penalty at the weekend against Leicester City and score.

"He's a very good penalty taker and he's scored all three of them. He scored a couple for the national team and in Holland, so I think as he's a striker he wants to score. It's very good that he takes responsibility.
“I don't think he's short on confidence. He's a very confident striker. He knows his qualities and he will score goals."

Personally, I think the press are trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill. The guy has only started 6 games, the rest are bit part substitute appearances and scoring after coming on as a substitute isn't easy. He started to show against Leicester that he is adapting, he created his own shooting chance when he had his back to goal, something we haven't really seen before, so there are encouraging signs.
