Spurs scouting £2.67m central midfielder

According to reports from both Sky Sport and Il Mattino, Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Romanian international Razvan Marin but face plenty of competition.

The 20-year-old (21 next May) right-footed central midfielder, who can play as an attacking midfielder or a wide attacker, currently plays for Viitorul Constanța with Tottenham Hotspur, Napoli, Juventus, Roma, Genoa and PSV Eindhoven all said to have sent scouts to watch him. 

He impressed on his debut for the Romanian national team in a 5-0 World Cup qualifying victory over Armenia. He scored one goal and had an assist for another, then followed that up had another good game against Kazakhstan which ended 0-0.

It is understood that PSV have already made a bid for Marin, but Cluj want to hold out for nearer £2.67-million (EUR3m - AUS$3.58m - US$2.72m).
