Quinn: Spurs for the Top 4

Former Newcastle United striker Micky Quinn believes Tottenham Hotspur have got to be targeting a top four finish again.

"They’ve got to be [thinking about a top-four finish]. They were top four last season. They went until the last two weeks of the season and then they faltered. They’ll have learnt from last season."

Victor Wanyama revealed at the beginning of the international break that Tottenham players were targeting a better finishing position than last season, which would be first or second, so yes Tottenham are targeting a top four finish and UEFA Champions League football again.

The result against Manchester City will give a boost to the confidence and belief of the players that we have a squad who can handle the challenge. Son is flying, then there is Eriksen, Alli and Lamela with Sissoko looking a good buy.

We have solidity behind them in Dier and Wanyama, Dembele to come back and the best defence in the league. Why shouldn't every Spurs fan be confident for the season ahead.
