STADIUM TALK

There has been plenty of talk on various forums for quite a while now about Uber being a potential sponsor for the naming rights of the new stadium and a spate of articles with this type of headline. However, Uber are unlikely to the the stadium sponsor.

We are still no nearer knowing who it may be, previous talk was of Nike, the Qatar Investment Authority has been discussed. Squawka website quote an unnamed source as suggesting 'Spurs have held talks with many potential naming rights partners and that a deal with Uber is unlikely at this stage due to strong interest from several financial institutions, communications companies and airlines.'

If that is correct it clearly indicates Uber are unlikely to get the deal, although there could well be other deals in the pipeline with them even if an agreement isn't reached for naming rights.
