Witsel, Traore, Marcus Edwards

TRANSFER TALK

Many Tottenham fans were keen on the club signing 27-year-old (28 next January) Belgian international Axel Witsel, who eventually stayed in Russia after being heavily linked with a move to Juventus. The Italians haven't lost interest, he is one of two targets, the other being Blaise Matuidi of PSG. Reports in Italy suggests that Witsel has agreed to join the Italians on a free transfer next summer

WBA will be taking an interest in our UEFA Champions League campaign as they are keen on signing former Everton flop Lacina Traore in the January transfer window, according to The Mirror.

The 26-year-ols (27 next August) Ivory Coast international is currently playing at CSKA Moskow on a season-long loan after failing to impress with Monaco in France. His notoriety is that he is 6'8" - 2.03m. They shouldn't have any trouble scouting him.

The Guardian had an article yesterday where Mauricio Pochettini felt 17-year-old (18 in December) Marcus Edwards reminds him of a young Lionel Messi. If he reaches that standard for us we'll be happy!

Tottenham Hotspur’s 17-year-old attacking midfield prodigy Marcus Edwards reminds Mauricio Pochettino of a young Lionel Messi and the manager is considering whether to give him a first-team debut at home against Gillingham in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night.
