The Pochettino Assessment

Pochettino assesses the 4-0 victory over Stoke City

Pochettino was naturally pleased with the performance at the start of a difficult run of 7 games in 20 days where the squad depth will be tested and some youngsters will get the chance to play against Gillingham in the League Cup.

He talked about the players always having to be ready to play and take their chance and felt the two goal display from Son will help build his confidence for this his second season in the Premier League.

The game will go a way to restoring some of the faith a few fans have lost during the summer, showing that last season wasn't a fluke, we didn't finish third because of others failings, we finished third because we deserved to.

Currently we sit 4th ahead of the Everton game tonight. They could move ahead of us if they win but my money is on Sunderland not losing.
