Young Croatian midfielder Ante Coric interests Tottenham, mind you he interests all the top clubs and has turned them all down.
The 19-year-old (20 next April) wants to move to a top team when he feels he will be a first choice starter and that is frustrating all the clubs trying to buy him. Manchester City were heavily linked with him in the summer but were never close to signing him as they wanted to immediately loan him out to a Spanish club.
Liverpool, Barcelona, Bayern Munich have all been turned down and the story in Sportski suggests that he would rather go to Porto or Benfica for guaranteed game time to aid his development, accept they won't pay the transfer fee. Apparently, the pair offered £8.61-million (€10m), Tottenham offered £12.92-million (€15m) and Manchester City offered £13.78-million (€16m).
You can be sure that we will be watching all his games ahead of th enext transfer window and that we will try again to sign him.
He was dropped from the squad for the Juventus match last night, not just the team because he si not pulling his weight in training claims Dinamo Zagreb coach Zeljko Sopić. That doesn't sound good for a young player. It may just be a kick up the backside from the coach.
