PSG, Man U, Juventus all tried to sign Eriksen this summer

TRANSFER TALK

Much has been made of the long contract negotiations with Christian Eriksen that have gone on since March. While he is happy at spurs and has bought a house in London, both Manchester United, Juventus and PSG were making advances towards him.

These were no doubt used in contract negotiations, which went on probably longer than we would have liked.

French media outlet Foot-Sur 7 revealed that PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi had made Eriksen the top target for the French giants. I indicated earlier this summer that Eriksen might be here for one more year despite all the PR talk.

Anything can happen in a year, all players are not going to stay forever, but he'll cost in excess of £30-million now with his new contract signed, a price sides were not prepared to pay this summer, not that he was ever for sale.
