The Daily Mail tell us that Mauricio Pochettino is 'considering' a move for Manchester United reject Wilfred Zaha. The 23-year-old (24 in November) Crystal Palace right winger hasn't produced anything to warrant any interest although the Mail say he is a 'top target'. Hang on, didn't they just say we were only considering him? Make your mind up lads.
Sky then report the article as news and so a story gathers momentum. when surely there is no story at all. All that has happened is that Spurs have made an enquiry, that is it, nothing else and we get a whole rigmarole from that.
He would be a waste of £15-million quid, he flatters to deceive and needs plenty of work before he could hold down a place in a top four side.
It is safe to say Spurs fans are not impressed.
