TRANSFER TALK

There are reports that talented 21-year-old starlet Marko Rog is to join Napoli from Dinamo Zagreb who will receive £10.32-million plus £4.30-million in add-ons. All the top clubs in Europe have been following him with many trying to sign him.

Slavan Bilic has revealed that 25-year-old Alexandre Lacazette has continually turned down West Ham United and that they have now given up pursuing him. He made it clear at the beginning of the window he wanted Champions League football but reports suggest Arsenal will have to pay £60-million to provide him with it. Crazy money for a player who couldn't even make it into the French squad for the Euros. Talk about hype.

Axel Witsel has decided to stay at Zenit St Petersburg for another season turning down the advances of Everton and Chelsea plus Juventus and Inter from Serie A.

"I'll remain here for one more season, it's the best choice for me. Now I'm 100% focused on the next challenges here. A renewal? I don't know, never say never. Today I wanna do my best for Zenit, then will see what happens".

WBA have entered the fray for 25-year-old Liverpool striker Christian Benteke although they don't stand much chance of signing him, they want to loan him with a purchase option and a buyback clause for Liverpool. I don't think Liverpool want the offer of having the one trick pony back. Crystal Palace are still trying to get Liverpool to lower their £32.5-million asking price.

Mario Balotelli is still looking for a club with Chievo, Sassuolo and Ajax the most recently being linked with him. How the 25-year-old's career has sunk, a clear indication that talent isn't enough to play top level football.

Barcelona have reached agreement with Fiorentina to allow Cristian Tello to return to Italy on loan. The Spaniard found some form there when he went there on loan in January and wanted to return. Plenty of clubs have enquired about him but he has been clear he wanted to return to Fiorentina all along.
