Rodriguez, Sanchez, Mario, Ghezzal, Kone, Alaba

TRANSFER TALK

The Summer Transfer Window closes at 11pm GMT on 31 August this year so there are 16 days to go. It is a period where teams look for bargains and try to pressure sides into deals as clubs have to shift players.

Naturally we would like another Rafael van der Vaart signing, a player a club want to sell and need a buyer for at short notice. We'll have to see what the two weeks brings, a wide player perhaps and a central attacking midfielder.

James Rodriguez is being frozen out somewhat by Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid, he isn't a first choice nad doesn't appear to be a first choice backup player either. The Spanish press are reporting that they will listen to offers.

Inter Milan are considering a move for Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez whom the Gunners would not like to lose you assume. Reports suggest he would be happy to consider a move, whether Inter Milan is his idea of a destination though is another matter. Their second choice would be Carlos Tevez who made it clear when leaving Juventus that he was returning to South America to finish his career there.

When previous enquiries were made for him he asked for £250,000-a-week wages, a clear sign he wants to stay where he is. Sanchez is top of Frank de Boer's shopping list although his price tag would surely be prohibitive.

Tottenham linked Jaoa Mario looks as if he is joining Inter Milan for £35-million from Sporting and Arsenal are interested in 24-year-old Lyon winger Rachid Ghezzal who is valued at £12.96-million. Sunderland are going to demand £20-million for 27-year-old centre-back Lamine Kone. Everton are keen on him but Sunderland want to keep him.

News from Spain suggests German giants Bayern Munich have rejected a £56.15-million bid from Real Madrid for 24-year-old left-back David Alaba.
