Plenty of negotiations going on woth a view to bringing someone in but nothing to report yet. Morgan Schneiderlin has had his name thrown into the ring as someone Mauricio Pochettino wouldn't mind signing as an alternative to Isco who has decided to ride his time out at Real Madrid (and who can blame him) with their 2-year transfer ban kicking in after their window shuts.

Moussa Sissoko is the subject of a late bid with Newcastke still insisting on silly money. He has never done anything in the Premier League to warrant a £30-million price tag. If you ask Newcastle fans they will tell you he is inconsistent. It is only thta he has had a good European Championships that everyone seems to think he is a world beater, he isn't.

Tottenham enquired about Morgan Schneiderlin over a week ago, he hasn't been left until the last minute. Manchester United told Spurs he is not for sale and if he wants to leave he will have to ask for a transfer. His agent says he is going nowhere so unless there is a change of heart on the part of Jose Mourinho because Bastian Schweinsteiger has refused to leave and he needs to offload players or we can convince him to change his mind, then he won't be coming to Spurs.
