TRANSFER TALK

The daft talk linking 26-year-old (27 next March) Danny Drinkwater to Spurs has thankfully been put to bed with him signing a new contract at Leicester, whom I'm sure he never had any intention of leaving. The talk was no doubt to try and force Leicester to up his wage with a threat he might leave, but it was never realistic given our central midfield as he wouldn't have strengthened our options, nor would he have been happy as third choice behind Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama.


Napoli are reported to have made an enquiry for Harry Kane after they sold Gonzalo Higuain for a stupid fee. They could have thrown £70-million at us but Maurciio Pochettino isn't interested in selling one of our crown jewels.
