Grant Ward sold to Ipswich Twn

Ipswich Town has signed 21-year-old (22 next January) winger Grant Ward from Tottenham Hotspur for an undisclosed fee. He has signed  a three-year deal, with the option of a further year.

He has had loan spells at MLS side Chicago Fire, Coventry City and Rotherham United last season. The transfer was confirmed on the official website and will give Ward the chance to play regularly again.

"We have reached agreement with Ipswich for the transfer of Grant Ward. The midfielder joined our academy full-time in July 2011, and has since represented us at Under-18 and Under-21 levels, in addition to playing for the senior side during our tour of Malaysia and Australia in May 2015. We wish Grant all the best for the future."

DONE DEAL:  have completed the signing of Grant Ward from @SpursOfficial on a 3-year deal.

He wouldn't be able to get a look-in at Tottenham and can now carve out a career for himself starting i the Championship. He didn't make the squad for the International Championship Cup in Australia.
