Everton not battling Spurs for Musacchio

TRANSFER TALK

According to Inside Football, Everton are set to battle Tottenham for 25-year-old Argentinian centre-back Mateo Musacchio. Perhaps they haven't heard Mauricio Pochettino tell a press conference in Australia that we are not in the market to buy another centre-back, we have enough players to cover the area ad will use what we have.

"Jan Vertonghen is in London but he is training very well now. He's very close to coming back. Wimmer, Alderweireld and Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama can play centre-back. And then young players like CCV [Carter-Vickers] and Ball. We have enough players in that position.
"Today we can see that in Cameron Carter-Vickers and Anton Walkes, and the other day with Dominc Ball, we have young and talented players and trust in them. I don't think we need to go into the market to sign another centre-back."

As reported previously he wants to go to Italy and is waiting on AC Milan selling Carlos Bacca to raise the funds to buy him.
