Coric rejects Man City and a possible opportunity for Spurs

TRANSFER TALK

Croatian starlet Ante Coric has turned down the chance to join Manchester City. As readr will know he wants a transfer to a team where he will get regular football and play a major role. He and his agents don't feel he will get that under Pep Guardiola.

The 19-year-old (20 next April) Dynamo Zagrib midfielder has been the subject of another attempt by Manchester City to sign him. they sent Gary Worthington out to Zagreb to negotiate with his agents and suggested sending him immediately out on loan to Granada in Spain.

They were prepared to pay £15.34-million (€18m - AUS$26.65m - US$20.15m), an initial £7.67-million (€9m - AUS$13.32m - US$10.08m) with the rest in add-ons. Coric doesn't want to join a club and then be sent on loan, he'll stay at Zagreb until someone can offer him a first -team role.

Now that gives Tottenham a possibility because Christian Eriksen still hadn't signed a new contract. He is expected to although there are feelings within the club that he will leave next simmer, even if he does sign a new one. Tottenham have to be prepared for that eventuality and will have to scout players who could replace were that to happen.
