West Ham turned down again, Ganso, Malli

Once again West Ham have been blown out by a striker. Perhaps their fans are starting to appreciate that a lack of Champions League football makes a difference and a lack of guaranteed European football makes a difference. It isn't simply about a stadium size and a wage in football today, Champions League for players is almost the be all and end all.

Carlos Bacca is the latest to say no to them according to Corriere della Sera. West Ham met Bacca's representatives on Tuesday and listened to what they had to say. AC Milan had accepted a bid of £21.02-million (€25m - AUS$36.37m - US$27.77m) and wanted to reinvest that in Argentinian centre-back Mateo Musacchio. Arsenal, Napoli and Sevilla have all been mentioned as other possible destinations and we were linked with him last summer.

A former Tottenham linked player is going to join another former Tottenham target, 27-year-old Italian Franco Vazquez, at Sevilla. The player in question is 26-year-old Brazilian attacking midfielder Ganso. His sise Sao Paulo and Sevilla have reached agreement on a £8.36-million (€10m -AUS$14.57m - US$11.04m) fee. The deal is expected to be announced very soon.

Yunus Malli is regularly linked with Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Monchengladbach in Germany and Tottenham get regularly mentioned as following him as well. The 24-year-old Turkish international attacking midfielder is currently on a deal with German club Mainz. Speculation is growing that we are taking more and more of an interest with Newcastle sticking to their excessive valuation of Wijnaldum.
