Watford submit low bid for Boufal

Transfer news for short sighted Tottenham fans, Watford have bid £6.7-million for 22-year-old Moroccan Sofiane Boufal , who his club Lyon believe is worth £16-million. You hear many a Spurs fan complaining that Daniel Levy make a low bid and complains as if he is the only person who does so. In fact, Daniel levy doesn't do all our negotiating and neither do the negotiating team have to go to Levy to approve what we are going to bid.

We are like any other business, we have a negotiating team who conduct the initial negotiations and get general agreements, even make initial offers and counter offers. Daniel Levy is only involved if it is a player who has the status that expects top brass involvement or if negotiations are beyond the initial stages. Even then he doesn't always get involved although he would have to sign off any agreed deal.

The Watford bid just demonstrates the Spurs or Levy if you like, act in the same way as any other club. Naturally the bid was rejected. The media insistently link us with him, but from Mauricio Pochettino's recent press conferences we seem to be no longer in the market for a wide attacker, awaiting as we are the release of Georges-Kevin N'Koudou.
