Wesley Sneijder realease clauser £6.29m

Traffic Headlines

MANCHESTER UNITED - Dutch international playmaking and attacking midfielder Wesley Sneijder gets linked with clubs every window, he was once linked with a move to ourselves but he moved to the money in Turkey where an advantageous tax situation allowed him to earn a high wage. Everton, Lazio and Inter Milan have all been linked this window and Manchester United are the latest suggestion.

The stories emanate from Turkey for the 23-year-old and they sound highly dubious with United seemingly signing 27-year-old Armenian Henrikh Mkhitaryan for the same position imminently. he is currently with Galatasaray until 2018 but he has a release clause of £6.29-million (€7.5m - AUS$11.14m - US$8.35m. It could well be his agent putting his name in the frame to drum up interest.

SUNDERLAND - French newspaper L'Equipe, tell us that Sunderland are looking to make a regular name every transfer window, 26-year-old French defensive midfielder Yann M'Vila a permanent signing. He has been on loan at Sunderland from Russian side Rubin Kazan and Sunderland are negotiating to make the deal permanent. M'Vila is entering his final year of contract with Rubin Kazan and Sam Allardyce is hoping to he can capture him for a bargain fee.

However M'Vila is unbelievably asking for £100,000-a-week, somewhat of a stumbling block. That just shows that with more money in the Premier League players believe it should all go to them and up their wage demands. Some will cave in to players, some won't.

STOKE CITY - Many clubs have been interested in 22-year-old former Tottenham target Saido Berahino, although Tottenham are no longer one of them. Too expensive last summer the striker and WBA have had a wasted year, simply for their chairman's pride it seems.

Stoke City seem to head the queue this time around, Crystal Palace made a £7-million bid but have moved on elsewhere when WBA revealed their price. He should be around £12-15-million with one year on his contract left but WBA want an exorbitant £18-20-million for a player who isn't a full international and hasn't actually achieved anything in the game, including scoring regularly.

Stoke are believed to have offered £16-million which is more than reasonable, not enough for WBA though whose chairman must try to save face with his own supporters.

BOURNEMOUTH - Welsh international forward Hal Robson-Kanu is a free agent after his contract with Reading ran out. He isin the European Championship semi-final with Wales and has caught the eye of Eddie Howe at Bournemouth and Tony Pulis at WBA. Both sides are scouting the 27-year-old at the Euros.

ASTON VILLA - The Birmingham Mail are reporting that relegated Aston Villa have tabled a £4.1m bid for 21-year-old Hellas Verona goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini. Goalkeeper coach at Villa, Massimo Battara, has identified Gollini as a player who has the potential to improve after his breakthrough season.
