TRANSFER TALK

Website Own Goal Nigeria are reporting an exclusive regarding two players having been offered to Spurs.

The two in question are Kingsley Michael, who is a 16-year-old (17 in August) defensive midfielder and 18-year-old (19 next January) striker Orji Okonkwo. Currently the pair have an offer from Serie B side Spezia, but their agent has offered them to Tottenham a close friend revealed.

“We are waiting for their agent, the last time we spoke with him he told us he is waiting to hear from Spurs but up till now but we still have the offer from Spezia to consider."

Kingsley Michael currently plays for Nigerian side Abuja Football College and Nigeria U-17's. He played 5 games at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup scoring once against Brazil in the quarter-final. He played a total of 174 minutes at the tournament. In November he was linked with Manchester City which his father, Dogo Michael, conformed.

''Manchester City have directly approached me, I hear West Ham and Chelsea are also interested. I want a big move for him, I would prefer Manchester City,. I have seen the Manchester City representative on ground, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. We will continue discussions with them.''

Orji Okonkwo currently also plays for Abuja Football College and played 5 games at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup. He scored once against Mexico in the semi-final and had an assist in the last 16 game against Australia. He played the full game in the semi-final while his other appearances were as a substitute. Also in November Chelsea held talks with his mother and there were suggestions West Ham were following him after he had scored from 35-yards against Brazil.

Having won that tournament in Chile the pair have moved up to the Nigerian Under-20 side. Nigeria defeated Sudan 2-1 in the first leg of the final round of the 2017 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Sunday. Okonkwo started the game and was replaced by Michael after 63 minutes when they were losing 1-0.
