Spurs fans debate that the Janssen fee is too much

TRANSFER TALK

The fee for Dutch striker Vincent Janssen is being reported in two different ways at twi different figures, both of which are correct.

In some sources you are seeing roughly £17.06-million (€20m - AUS$29.24m - US$22.09m) while other sources are calling it at around £18.77-million (€22m - AUS$32.16m - US$24.3m). The difference is simply the add-ons, which only become activated upon certain clauses being met, such as qualifying for or winning the Champions League or number of games, goals, winning a trophy, any number of things.

The fee agreed is €20m + €2m add-ons.

Unbelievably there are some on forums questioning him and his fee because he comes from the Dutch league, where they claim few successful players have come from.

Marc Overmars (Arsenal), Denis Bergkamp (Arsenal), Japp Stam (Manchester United), Ruud Van Nistelrooy (Manchester United 95 goals in 150 games), Robin Van Persie (Arsenal and Manchester United), Arjen Robben (Chelsea), Luis Suarez (Liverpool, came from Ajax), Antoine Griezmann (Atletico Madrid), Daley Blind (Manchester United), Georginio Wijnaldum (Newcastle United), Tim Krul (Newcastle United), Virgil van Dijk (Southampton), Edgar Davids (Tottenham Hotspur), Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink (Shelsea), Patrick Kluivert (Newcastle United), Edwin van der Sar (Manchester United), Rafael van der Vaart (Tottenham Hotspur), the list goes on and on and they are just some of the players who have played over here.

We have players who have come out of the Dutch league in our side, Mousa Dembele, Jan Vertonghen, Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld have all came from Holland, while we have Michel Vorm as number two to Hugo Lloris.

The country produces talent, but talent without mentality is nothing. This guy Janssen, when you look into his history, has a 'do what it takes' attitude, which is exactly the attitude to get the best our of his talent. he has the scoring record, now to show he is the rea deal, just as Harry Kane had to when stepping up from Development football.
