Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool all tracking youngster

TRANSFER TALK

Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Liverpool are all tracking the progress of 17-year-old (18 on Tuesday) Aston Villa teenager Andre Green report the local Birmingham press.

The England Under-17 player (he has 2 caps) plays o the left wing, although is listed as being able to play on the right wing or as a secondary attacker. It is very early days in hs career though and his two substitute appearances, one against us, were out wide. I have a vague recollection of him against us and he di catch the eye as having something about him.

he is looking to make the breakthrough this season with Villa relegated to the Championship and he has started figuring in the club's pre-season friendlies so has his opportunity to show new boss Roberto de Matteo what he can do in a game situation.

There is no suggestion of a bid yet, although some have read that into the situation for sensationalism. At this stage it is a watching brief, we will monitor him his season and see how he copes when he gets the chance at Championship level, that will start to help us build up a picture of his mentality and whether he has the game between the ears as well as in his feet.
