Rooney move? Hulk, Success, Brexit, Man City in trouble

TRANSFER TALK

There are growing rumours that the Chinese are reviving their interest in taking Wayne Rooney to China where he is a big name. The Chinese are throwing money at football at the moment, they have just enticed Hulk to the country in a £50.37-million (€60m - AUS$89.24m - US$66.82m).

Shanghai SIPG offered him a mamouth salary after tax for a three-year contract before the European Championships and now that England are out they are reviving their offer. Any fee to Manchester United wouldn't be a problem. Whether Rooney would be interested now we'll find out.

Watford are not paying £12.5-million (€14.9m - AUS$22.15m - US$16.57m) to Spanish side Granada for Isaac Success. His rights belong to an investment fund owned by the Italian Gino Pozzo, former owner of the Atletico Madrid, so, with the sale of its shares to Chinese Jiang Lizhang, the young Nigerian star has also left the Granada to join Watford, who are also owned by Pozzo.

If he settles in the Premier League, and he has the physique to do so, then the top sides could soon be taking a keen interest in him. He is a decent signing fior Watford, a striker who has been moved into a wide position and excelled in Spain.

Pozzo was asked by the Italian press how he thought the EU referendum result would affect clubs employing foreign players. "Brexit won't affect ability to use foreign players." he basically said that there will be negotiations and a new set of rules and we just have to wait for that to happen.
