Real Betis to buy 50% of Sanabria

Spanish newspaper Sport are reporting a change of events regarding the future of Tottenham target Antonio Sanabria, which goes against the British press.

They report that he was set to join Tottenham but has had a change of heart and will remain in Spain with Real Betis. Gustavo Poyet, the new coach of Real Betis, phoned Sanabria several times and convinced him to remain in Spain. They suggest he wanted to remain in Spain because of the language.

Real Betis will buy 50% of the strikers economic rights for £5.10-million (€6m - AUS$8.91m - US$6.65m) with Roma retaining the other 50%, a deal that we can't do under Premier League rules.
