TRANSFER TALK

Morata, Higuain, Rojo, Matic

Napoli are the latest side to enquire about 23-year-old Alvaro Morata, even though Zinedine Zidane has told his president at Real Madrid that he wants to keep him as backup to 27-year-old Gareth Bale, 31-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo and 28-year-old Karim Benzema.

Gonzalo Higuain is being heavily courted by Italian champions Juventus and if Napoli do lose him they are planning to try and replace him with the former Juventus striker according to Sky Sports. They have contacted Real Madrid in order to start talks. Chelsea have had a bid turned down, while PSG and Arsenal were interested, possibly not at the fee being demanded by the Spanish.

Spanish newspaper Marca report that Villareal are looking for a left full-back and their latest target is the Manchester United defender they overpaid for, no not Luke Shaw, but 26-year-old Argentinian Marcos Rojo. Jose Mourinho has deemed him surplus to requirements and Villarreal are hoping to take advantage, they have made provisional enquiries.

The future of Nemanja Matic looks to be away from Chelsea after the signing of defensive midfielder N'Golo Kante from Leicester City. Juventus, who seem to be linked with everyone, have begun negotiations for the 27-year-old Chelsea man, with an offer of roughly £15.06-million (€18m -AUS$26.23m -  US$19.87m)being considered.
