TRANSFER TALK

Arsenal have been turned down by 23-year-old Lille left-back Djibril Sidibe who has rejected the advances of Arsene Wenger and signed for Lique 1 side Monaco for an undisclosed fee.

The French Under-21 international (he earned 1 cap) has signed a five-year deal at the Stade Louis II and has spoken to the French clubs website.

"It's a great honour for me to have signed for Monaco. Monaco are a club with a huge history in Ligue 1 and I am very satisfied to be here. I am focused on my sporting ambitions and Monaco are the right club for me to take the next step in my career."

Arsenal and Tottenham are reported to have returned their attentions to 25-year-old (26 next May) Alexandre Lacazette according to several sources. The Tottenham talk seems rather strange with Vincent Janssen nearly across the line, unless Pochettino is looking at him as a wide attacker also. He certainly won't be interested in being the third choice striker and Janssen has been told where he fits into th squad.

Arsene Wenger wants to sign Alexandre Lacazette despite his will to keep Olivier Giroud in the Gunners squad for next season. He is said to be ready to make a bid for the Marseille man.

West Ham United may have found a striker willing to forego Champions League football for a regular starting spot. Having chased totally unrealistic targets and been turned down by them all they have arranged a meeting with the representatives of AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The West Ham directors will meet the former Sevilla strikers representatives on Tuesday and offer the 29-year-old (30 in September) a £3m-a-year deal, £57,692-a-week. The two clubs are said to have already reached an agreement over price.
