West Ham maybe but unlikely Spurs are in for Honda

The Daily Express seem to have invented their own transfer story, suggesting Tottenham and West Ham United are interested in Japanese midfielder Keisuke Honda. West Ham may be interested but I doubt we are.

The 30-year-old today plays for AC Milan in Serie A as an attacking midfielder, making 23 starts, 7 substitute appearances for the side who finished in 7th place in Serie A. This sounds very much like a journalist inventing a story and throwing two names at it. He doesn't fit our stated transfer policy and doesn't have the 'special' player status to make an exception.

He has a contract until 2017 and for the second summer running is suggesting he would be happy to lave AC Milan who he joined on a free transfer in January 2014 from CSKA Moscow.
