The Press Association are suggesting that terms between Vincent Janssen and Tottenham Hotspur have all been agreed and that he wants to move to Spurs. The suggestion is that he has spoken to Wolfsburg but doesn't want to move there, no doubt as explained earlier because they have no European football.

Having just started his international career playing at the highest possible level will aid that and Spurs can offer the prospect of UEFA Champions League football.

Our 14m payment was offered in three parts, a similar deal to the one Schalke made with Basel for Embolo. Equal payments are quite normal and there is no suggestion that the method of payment was a problem, simply the amount.

 The difference in valuations isn't that great £11.31-million (EUR14m - AUS$21.09m - US$15.57m) including bonuses and AZ Alkmaar are looking for £16.25m (EUR20m - AUS$30.14m - US$22.24m) at  the evening exchange rates. A difference of £4.94-million is not insurmountable so you would expect this deal to go through soon.
