Spurs not interested in disruptive German striker

TRANSFER TALK

It seems talkSPORT have invented a link between Tottenham and Max Kruse because the article they quote as the source mentions no such thing.

Tony Kruse is a 28-year-old (29 next March) German centre-forward playing for VfL Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga who has an addiction to Nutella, a hazelnut spread. In March he was thrown out of the German squad and he has been fined by his club over gambling.

What the article actually says is that Kruse has handed in a transfer request to try his luck abroad and that as his replacement Wolfsburg have spoken to Vincent Janssen, who Tottenham have spoken to. There is no Tottenham interested in Kruse link in the story at all.

The guy doesn't fit in with our stated transfer policy, he is too old. That's the British media for you, don't let the facts get in the way of a story. Further reports from Germany tell you he is a divisive dressing room figure who causes trouble as being thrown out of the German squad in March testifies.

The guy is the opposite of what Mauricio Pochettino is searching for so the bright sparks at talkSPORT invent a link, that explains their forum nickname. Fortunately the radio station side of the organisation has a higher quality threshold.
