Roma ask for Eriksen

TRANSFER TALK

Italian side AS Roma have lost attacking midfielder Miralem Pjanic to Juventus and are seeking a replacement.

As talks are ongoing for young striker Antonio Sanabria, their sports director Walter Sabatini has asked Spur for Christian Eriksen. the Italians are hopeful that Eriksen, who has a contract at Tottenham until 2018 will be convinced to continue his career in Italy.

There is no chance of that happening though. It is unlikely Roma could afford to buy him, it is unlikely they could afford to pay him, Mauricio Pochettino is not going to sell anyone he wants so unless Christian Eriksen says he wants to leave he won't be going anywhere.

There is no indication that Eriksen wants to leave and it is unlikely he would be allowed to either.
