Lamela in the best form of his life for Argentina

Erik Lamela thinks he is in the best form he has ever been for his country after scoring a goal in each of the last two games at the Copa America. he helped his side beat Venezuela 4-1 and help his side to a semi-final slot.

"This is my best time with my country because I haven't had the chance to play with them so much before. It's meant I have another goal and, more importantly, we won."

The next game for Argentina and Lamela is USA on Tuesday night local time and like Pochettino at Tottenham, Lamela is glad to have the backing of coach Gerardo Martino.

"We have a few days off but we will be very focused as we have two important games coming up. It's good when the coach has confidence in you but everyone is playing so well. You need to be at your best to try to seize the chances you are given."
