£30.68m with 1yr left on contract - Nuts

German paper Bild are reporting that Manchester United have increased their offer for Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The 27-year-old (28 next January) Armenian Tottenham target was the subject of a £18.42-million (EUR24m - AUS$36.04m - US$27.21m) but Manchester United are now said to have increased that to £27.61-million (EUR36m - AUS$54.10m - US$30.81m), which is some sizeable jump.

I don't see us being interested in that price for a 27-year-old who I only going to decrease in value in a couple of years. Borussia Dortmund is said to want £30.68-million (EUR40m - AUS$60.07 - US$45.41m).

Previously BVB boss Hans-Joachim Watze revealed the German club had spent four months negotiating with Mkhitaryan to try to get him to extend his deal beyond 2017. With a year left on his contract, Dortmund are still trying to get full market value for him so there isn't a chance we will go anywhere near him.

The club and the player agent are poles apart as the club appear to have reneged on a promise the sell him according to the player's agent Mino Raiola, while the club now claims they made no such agreement. Sounds like another case of a chairman's word counting for nothing in business, when will people learn to get things in writing.
