3 Janssen bids rejected

TRANSFER TALK

http://tottenhamhotspur.blogspot.com

There is plenty of talk among Tottenham fans over who our next striker should be. Whoever we buy to compliment and assist Harry Kane, personally I think we will buy two strikers, the most important thing is that they fit into Tottenham and score goals, not their price tag.

Dele Alli and Eric Dier didn't cost a fortune so simply buying someone because they have a price tag or because the public know their name isn't important. According to Football Oranje Tottenham have submitted a bid for 22-year-old (23 next June) Ditch striker Vincent Janssen. AZ Alkmaar have turned down the initial bid.

That first bid they report was actually two weeks ago and we have made a further two bids, but AZ Alkmaar are expecting a renewed offer, suggesting Tottenham need to fight off Wolfsburg, however, Wolfsburg have no European football so he'll only join them if he is sure he isn't wanted by Spurs. Players want Champions League football and if they can't have that then they want European football. He will need that to further his international career, he'll need to be playing against the different types of defending you get in Europe.

Football Oranje say we made a bid of €10 million (plus €2.5 million in bonuses) then with an offer of €12.5 million (plus €2.5 million in bonuses) and finally with their more recent €14 million offer which came last night.
Currency conversion -  £11.31-million (EUR14m - AUS$21.09m - US$15.57m) and AZ Alkmaar are looking for £15.14m (EUR20m - AUS$30.14m - US$22.24m)

Recent quotes from him suggest he would be happy to join Spurs, that he'll get enough game time and that he would be happy to fight for a place with Harry Kane.
