Tottenham Showing Most Interest In Venezuelan Striker

Tottenham showing most interest inVvenezuelan striker

The team of the moment, Tottenham Hotspur, yes if there is a transfer story we are linked with it, or so it seems, are chasing Granada striker Adalberto Peñaranda suggest Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.
Their story suggests Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United, we seem to be linked to being in a battle for every striker, not that there is any contest, will both bid for the Venezuelan youngster. Our other shadow,  Liverpool, have of course been mentioned.

The suggestion is that Granada are beginning to feel that the 18-year-old (19 in May) may not be at the club after this summer. He has scored 8 goals and had 5 assists in 36 appearances this season. Peñaranda is on loan at Granada, which is in Andalucia, until 2017 when he is due to return to his parent club Watford, where he has a contract with until 2020.

Barcelona found Peñaranda in the South American U-20 Championship in Uruguay last year when he was only 17-years-old. He was found by their  technical director, Andoni Zubizarrreta and his assistants Urbano Ortega and Albert Valentin. They followed him in the South American Under-20 Championships in Uruguayand the Under-17 World Championships in UAE back in 2013, so he has been on their radar for a while.

Undinese have a powerful scouting network in South America and it wa they who signed him in the summer of 2015. He was loaned to Granada and was promoted to the first-team on the arrival of a new manager. he then became th youngest ever player to score a brace in La Liga taking the record from none other than Lionel Messi.

Watford manager Quique Sanchez Flores naturally has plenty of contacts in Spain and they advised him to sign the youngster, so he did iat the end of January this year. Part of the deal was that he remain at Granada until 2017. When at Udinese he had a release clause of  £15.75 million (20m EUR - US$22.62m), at Watford there is no such release clause so the more successful he is the more he would cost the Spanish club, in fact he'd go out f their price range.

The report suggests that the multimillionaire Premier League teams are trying to seduce him with Tottenham as the team showing the most interest. Big things are expected of the youngster, Watford have made a shrewd signing.
