Son, Bentaleb, Mason

we have experienced the Daily Telegraph inventing stories before and it seems they are up to their tricks again in an effort to either sell papers or get online eyeballs.

Mauricio Pochettino has had to undergo an assessment ahead of next season and the Telegraph have come to the conclusion that Son Heung-min could be sold, which is in fact contrary to the word coming out of White Hart Lane.

The article mentions Nabil Bentaleb and Ryan Mason so clearly looks to be a cobbled together story by their reporter with no substance behind it.

Bentaleb had a poor season, injuries and a lack of form playing their part as did his contract negotiation. The club were disappointed with his entourage who wanted top drawer wages, which he isn't ready for yet. You have to produce the goods regularly and one season is regularly. Pochettino insists on a professional approach and players have to accept his discipline when they step out of line.

The situation with Bentaleb has eased, he has tried to buckle down and show in training that he is committed to the cause. Will he stay or will he go? Crystal Palace and Juventus are said to be interested in taking him, but if he returned to the form he was showing and develops further he could help add to the squad depth for next season.

The plus for Bentaleb is that he wasn't involved in the Southampton or Newcastle United fiasco after which Pochettino ripped into the players. Mason was pulled off at half-time and he is a player Pochettino has been happy to rely on, but he let him down, as did a few others.

That all means that we'll be buying some first-team ready players and there will be a lot of stories as we want to get our business done early.
