New signing will have to wait for his first-team chance!

The Tottenham Hotspur Academy recently completed a new signing ahead of next season, however, the youngster will have to wait for his first-team chance.

Elijah Upson is his name and he has been signed up to our Academy to play in the Under-9's from Bishop Stortford College. Ryan Hall manages the side and he was at the signing along with club ambassador and playing legend Ledley King.

It must have been a real proud moment for him and his parents, especially as he was then presented to a full stadium at half-time during the Manchester United game. His Mum confirmed their delight to the Herts and Essex Observer.

"It was a proud moment for Elijah and his family, he has worked incredibly hard."

Not many get to experience at atmosphere like that as adults, let alone at his tender age.Just like Eric Dier, Dembele and the like he posed for photographs with pen and contract . It is an achievement to get into an academy, then the hard work starts and they have to learn what it is going to take to become a professional footballer. Good luck to him on his journey.
