Is Silva finally coming come to the Premier League

A creative wide man we have been following and whom I have been championing for some time is Rafa Silva, the 23-year-old (24 next May) talented Braga player attracting interest now from Porto, Liverpool, and Manchester United.

Both clubs are said to have made offers and Porto had a bid of £12.32 million (€16m - US$17.95m) rejected in January. He apparently has a release clause of £15.41 million (€20m - US$122.43m). Both clubs are particularly keen it seems but only Manchester United can offer European football, hence Liverpool are throwing playing bonuses at the player. He remains an option for us but is presumably not our number one target.

We have to assess Alex Pritchard and check the availability of other players before we decide which way to go with our recruitment. What will be happening is that we will be letting any player we are interested in know that through his agent. With the lure of Champions League football, we know to our cost that players like to hang on to see if that option materialises.

His agent has revealed that his client wants to play in the Premier League and with plenty of playing experience under his belt, the time is probably right for him.
