Hazard Agrees Mason Is Needed At Spurs

Hazard agrees Mason is needed at Spurs

Former Spurs star Micky Hazard brings a little sanity to the Ryan Mason talk by agreeing with me that he still has a future at Tottenham. The former midfielder knows Mason well and was asked about his future by ESPN.

"Remember that Ryan was playing well then he got a bad injury scoring [vs. Sunderland] -- he put his neck on the line, got Spurs the three points but then he got injured.

"As a consequence, he spent three or four months on the sidelines and hasn't quite regained match fitness or his sharpness because he hasn't played regularly since.
"Ryan is a very good footballer and, at his best, he has something to offer Tottenham Hotspur. If he's given a full preseason, he can challenge for a place in the side."

He goes on to talk about having to force his way back in during pre-season but that it will be hard with the quality of player currently keeping him out of the side. He also gives an insight into the mentality it takes to sit on te bench and that Mason's attitude is fantastic.

Personally, I don't see mason leaving at all.
