Barcelona Buy-back Clause Makes Them fFvourites For Suarez

It's quite amusing a website is claiming Tottenham Hotspur lead the chase for Villarreal attacking midfielder Denis Suarez when he has a £2.37 million (3m EU)R  buy-back clause in his contract that Barcelona have said consistently throughout the season that they will activate.

To suggest we are leading the race is nonsense, Barcelona lead the race, they want him back and he wants to go back. we are interested but we don't have much chance of securing him I'm afraid. It just shows the quality of reporting within our national press. I read one of them having a real go at someone they obviously disliked the other day, but they don't like it when someone dares to question them.



Paul Mitchell, who was at Anfield to see Villarreal take on Liverpool has not confirmed it was Suarez he was watching, Spurs have been linked with Jordon Ibe. The whole premise is that because he was there we must be leading the race, quite frankly that is an idiotic assumption, it merely means we are taking our scouting seriously before deciding whether we want a player or not.
