Alderweireld and Bournemouth player make European Team of the Year

Who would you have in a European Squad based on this season alone, not reputations. It isn't easy to do given most people don't watch enough football outside their own league to know. One way to do it is to base the squad on figures alone, taking the human element out of the equation and that is what Oulala have done.

Toby Alderweireld makes the grade, although for the UK football journalists he didn't receive a single vote, draw your own conclusions from that. It's the player on the subs bench I'm delighted t see, Steve Cook of Bournemouth, hardly a defender's name on everyone's lips. Well done to him getting amongst some very illustrious names.
