Son to stay at Spurs

Son Heung-min has been the subject of much speculation amid Spurs fans with some seeing talent in him and some impatiently wanting to sell him. A conveyor belt of players in and out is hardly conducive to the continuity we require so players can grow and develop with and within the system we employ.

He arrived from Garmany and did well initially but has not reached the level of form we would have liked after his injury. He has had an injury-hit year, not easy in a new country and a new culture. That would perhaps explain why he gets on so well with Kevin Wimmer another player who came from the Bundesliga last summer.

He is very experienced for his tender age having left his home  and schooling in South Korea to pursue his football dream at the age of 16 in Germany.

Mauricio Pochettino has faith in him and will not be selling him this summer. With a season under his belt, we should see a more consistent player next season. he possesses good close control and has shown an eye for a pass around the box. There is plenty to work with and one to keep, which may not be the case for all of last summer's signings.

In the overall picture, there are other pieces that need replacing and Pochettino does not want to be replacing too many, it would disrupt the squad again.

Bottom line is Son is happy at Spurs and Spurs are happy with Son.
