Legend Pirlo speaks about Kane

Italian legend Andres Pirlo is a household name around the world, thanks not only to his domestic Italian career but for running the Italian national midfield so successfully for so many years.

Legend and star are overused terms, according to the press anyone who plays the game is a star, the Daily Star was calling Federico Fazio the 'ace' Tottenham defender, there aren't many Spurs fans who would call him ace. Sanity is not prevalent quality in the mainstream media, hype is the name of the game.

Harry Kane has had a tremendous rise so rather than listen to out press what did a true legend of the game have to say when asked by Shortlist if he had heard of him?

"Everybody has heard of Harry Kane over this last year. If he carries on playing the way he has been, I am sure it is going to be a big career."

In the interview, he also explained how he handles nerves and why he always looks so calm under pressure.

It's obviously not that I don't care, I just think nerves and pressure are a waste of energy."

Pressure is what you put on yourself, nobody puts it on for you. They can try and they do, but at the end of the day, it is an individual decision how you handle it. By reducing your goals down to one game at a time, the pressure is merely three points, nothing else matters. You can look and enjoy the results later but if you go into a game thinking we have to win to stay ahead of the team below us then you are simply making it more difficult for yourself.

The object is to make things as simple as possible, not as hard as possible.
