Fiorentina coach: Tottenham are one of the best teams in Europe

The coach of Fiorentina Paulo Sousa said after the victory against Atalanta to Rai Sport that they are now focusing on the upcoming UEFA Europa League match against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane in London.

It will not be an easy tie on Thursday but we do have an away goal which means if Fiorentina do not score we go through. We do seem to be conceding a goal a game though. Wikipedia explains the rule.

Each tie in the UEFA Europa League knockout phase, apart from the final, is played over two legs, with each team playing one leg at home. The team that scores more goals on aggregate over the two legs advances to the next round. If the aggregate score is level, the away goals rule is applied, i.e., the team that scores more goals away from home over the two legs advances. If away goals are also equal, then thirty minutes of extra time is played.

The away goals rule is again applied after extra time, i.e., if there are goals scored during extra time and the aggregate score is still level, the visiting team advances by virtue of more away goals scored. If no goals are scored during extra time, the tie is decided by penalty shoot-out.

 I expect Kieran Trippier, Ben Davies, Kevin Wimmer, Toby Alderweireld and Eric Dier to form our defence with the usual shuffling of the attacking options. We need a positive result in this game and then we can concentrate on the next three Premier League games.
