Title race: Top 5 who has the easiest fixtures remaining?

When I said you were in a race for the title guys, that isn't what I meant.

There are 23 games gone and 15 left in the race for this season's Premier League title. Leicester City just keep on going along, Chelsea are nowhere to be seen, Manchester City can't play away and Arsenal.

What a comeback!!! Great goals and unbelievable mentality!!! No update on the injury yet…
— Jan Vertonghen (@JanVertonghen) January 23, 2016

More and more fans are starting to grasp the importance of mentality, those who think that 11 players just run onto a field and beat an opposition are realising there is more to top level sport than that. They are too good to go down is a common phrase, all it means is that a team is not mentally right, they don't truly believe, they have doubt and those doubts affect performance and cause mistakes. They then bemoan individual mistakes week after week.

Mentality is everything and if we totally believe then anything is possible, even Leicester City winning the Premier League is possible, if they believe it. We are only five points behind, we are only two points off second place, we have a better goal difference than Arsenal and an equal one to Manchester City, who would have thought that at the start of the season.

We have a set of players who are not encumbered with seasons of failure to attain a top four slot, that gets into the subconscious and affects performance, you then have a nagging doubt which holds you back. An athlete can't break a world record if he doesn't totally believe he can, a football team can't win anything unless they totally believe they can.

Mauricio Pochettino and his coaching staff have instilled a winning mentality into the club. the players constantly refer to it as Jan Vertonghen did on Twitter after the Crystal Palace game. Dele Alli scored his goal because he had belief, if he wasn't confident he would never have even tried it.

There are 15 games to go. Fifteen games for our supporters to give it everything. Fifteen sets of three points.

Leicester City seem to have a decent set of home fixtures but some tough away ties, although they are currently the best in the Premier League away from home. The same can not be said of Manchester City who are the best team at home but are regularly dropping points away from home.

They have some tough home games but you would have thought an easier away schedule. They sit 9th in the away table having dropped points against seven sides West Ham, Leicester City, Arsenal, Stoke City, Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United. As five of those sides are in the top six at the moment perhaps their place in the away form table will rise.

The key to Arsenal's title chances lie in their away form, you would have to say they have a relatively easy set of home fixtures, but some tough away ties. They sit second in the away form table though dropping points against six sides, Chelsea, WBA, Norwich City, Southampton, Liverpool and Stoke City. They have only won one of their last five away, having drawn two and lost one of their last three away fixtures.

Manchester United are chasing a UEFA Champions League berth. They struggle to score goals and have to play some sides who have been resolute defensively this season, Stoke City, Watford, Crystal Palace and ourselves.

As for ourselves, it doesn't look the easiest set of fixtures with some sides to play that are difficult to break down and not the easiest set of away fixtures. We sit third in the away form table having won three and drawn two of our last five.

There are plenty of twists and turns to go. Of the remaining fixtures you would think bookies would make Manchester City favourites, Arsenal second favourites with ourselves third favourites. taking a look the bookies do indeed have Man City as favourites, followed by Arsenal with ourselves and Leicester City tied third favourites, naturally there is the odd variation over ourselves and Leicester City.

Time will tell. Simply soldier on three points at a time.
