Spurs scout Henry and Maddison

Tottenham continue to look to the lower divisions for the future. In fairness, all clubs look to the lower divisions but because of the speed of the success of Dele Alli it is Tottenham that the press portray is leading the way.

All the top clubs are watching 18-year-old (19 in July) Walsall left-back Rico Henry, David Pleat was at the Ricoh Arena as Coventry fought out a 1-1 draw with away Walsall, the top team in League One away from home. Manchester United and Arsenal both had scouts there as reported in the Coventry Telegraph.

There are suggestions we are also watching 19-year-old (20 in November) James Maddison, although he was on the Coventry City bench. Again Arsenal are said to be watching the attacking midfielder together with Liverpool. It is early da5s in his career, he has scored two goals and has three assists from just eight games, a total of 520 minutes (approx 5 1/2 games) in all competitions.
