Dembele in Carroll out?

Leicester City are next up, this time in the Premier League with Mousa Dembele back and available for selection again following injury although Clinton Njie and Ryan Mason remain on the sidelines. Federico Fazio and Andros Townsend don't figure either of course otherwise it's a full compliment to choose from.

Mauricio Pochettino has shown consistency in selection trusting the players who haven't let him down. That is unfortunate for the fringe players but football is a ruthless business, you have to perform game after game when you get your chance, inconsistency will get you nowhere.

Tom Carroll has been one on the sidelines and had to wait his chance, some would say he has taken it others would say he has made errors as well. He didn't track the runner for the Leicester City goal just after half-time but reacted to a pass by which time it was too late. There is plenty to praise and errors often unseen that prove can costly.

It is possible that he will lose his place and play in the FA Cup replay instead. Dembele, Alli, Eriksen, Lamela, Carroll, Son don't all for into four places. There are plenty of permutations we can use. Mahrez is their danger man cutting in from the left. Presumably, as he didn't play the FA Cup game Ben Davies will be preferred at left-back to deal with him. He still worries me at times, but then Rose gives free-kicks away around the box so you take your pick.
